UNION Craft Brewing Presents
Black Friday featuring Psycho Killers and Life on Mars
Baltimore Soundstage (Nov. 24, 2017)
This Black Friday, Baltimore area music fans will have something else to be thankful for, as Psycho Killers, a tribute to Talking Heads, will return to Baltimore Soundstage for their annual Black Friday show, and this year, they will be supported by Life on Mars, a David Bowie tribute from Richmond, VA. “The music of Talking Heads is so diverse, that there are a lot of bands that would be a good fit musically, but I don’t think any one artist fits the bill as much as David Bowie”, says Ryan Porter, bass player for Psycho Killers. “When it comes to genre spanning, danceable, 80’s pop music, Talking Heads and Bowie are definitely the first 2 bands that come to mind.”
Psycho Killers have been selling out shows all over the area since their inception in 2008. Comprised of several seasoned Baltimore musicians, highlighted by former members of the Bridge and current members of Electric Love Machine, a Baltimore based electronic jam band that has been making a name for themselves up and down the east coast and beyond, the band always brings a high energy dance party to any venue they play.
To spice things up this year, Psycho Killers has partnered with Union Craft Brewing and there will be plenty of craft beer flowing from Baltimore’s best brewery. “Union prides ourselves on being involved in the community and supporting local music”, said Jon Zerivitz, co-founder of Union, “this seemed like the perfect event for the holiday season and we are excited to be a part of it”. And as in years past, Toys for Tots will also be on hand collecting toys and donations for children in the Baltimore area. There will also be prizes for people who donate as well, including the chance to win tickets to every show at Soundstage in 2018!
