Squaring The Circle
w/Moogatu & Slow Lights
The 8×10, Baltimore, MD (Feb. 1, 2017)
Squaring The Circle proudly and ferociously kicked off their February Wednesday Residency at The 8×10 in style, hosting two great rock bands who graciously contributed to the evening’s success. Asa Kurland warmed up the crowd with a short set of solo tunes before inviting his band, Slow Lights (Baltimore), up to the stage to begin the onslaught of rock & roll. Squaring The Circle took the middle slot, performing a mixture of original tunes (including one debut) and covers that focused on their theme of the week “Sco-Square.” John Scofield is one of the greatest guitarists in the history of music, and STC brought his music to life. Moogatu (DC) is no stranger to The 8×10, so they wasted no time making their presence known. The quartet rocked us into the wee hours, leaving our minds reeling. Squaring The Circle continues their residency this Wednesday, February 8, and they’ve prepared a Soulive themed evening for us, along with performances from The Strange Heat and McLovins!
