Pigeons Playing Ping Pong

w/Electric Love Machine

9:30 Club, Washington, DC (April 7, 2017)

Two Baltimore bands, hundreds of beautiful people, one incredible SOLD OUT show! Friday, April 7, 2017, was one for the books, as Pigeons Playing Ping Pong and Electric Love Machine sold out the renowned 9:30 Club. Electric Love Machine opened up the night and absolutely rocked through and incredible set. All around me I could hear people chattering away about how awesome their set was. I get the feeling we have a LOT of new Love Machines after this weekend. Pigeons took the stage next for two sets plus an encore. The band’s energy, as always, was beyond measure, and all four members were completely locked in. Highlights of the show included a massive drum solo from Alex “Gator” Petropulos, “Melting Lights” > “Poseidon” > “Offshoot” to open the second set, and a cover of Red Hot Chili Peppers’ “Suck My Kiss” for the encore. The eight gentlemen that make up these two bands continue to make me proud to call myself a Baltimore resident. Couldn’t have asked for a better 4.5 hours of music!
