Tennessee-based jazz-rock band gears up for late Summer tour dates

Opposite Box, the genre bending quartet from Chattanooga, TN, is gearing up for a trek across the Southeast that will see the band landing at two highly lauded music and arts festivals, as well as some of the most notable venues in the country.  Along the way, OB will also host two of Chicagoland’s finest funk and rock acts – EGi and ZooFunkYou– on select dates throughout Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia and North Carolina.

Opposite Box kicks things off on Saturday, August 18 at the No Place Like Home summer concert series hosted by Bardo Productions.  No Place Like Home is a one-day music festival/concert series that will be held at the EXPO 5 in Louisville, KY.  Headliners include The Werks, Exmag, CBDB and featured acts include OB, EGi, Skydyed, Edamame AND MORE!  Tickets are available at www.bardoproductions.com

On August 24, OB takes over Hi-Fi Clyde’s on Main street in Chattanooga, TN for a two-set hometown throwdown!  The following night, 8/25, OB returns to the world-renowned Exit/In in Nashville, TN to support widely popular locals Cosmic Shift on their 100th show anniversary.  Nashville locals Natchez Tracers open the show.

August 30 and 31, stars align when cosmic funk band ZooFunkYou from Chicago joins OB at Tidball’s in Bowling Green, KY (8/30) and Young Avenue Deli in Memphis, TN (8/31).

Sunday, September 2, Opposite Box debuts at Hookahville 50 at Zane Shawnee Caverns featuring three nights of the legendary Ohio jam band Ekoostik Hookah!  Additional acts include The WerksBilly Strings and Ed McGee. Tickets and more information available at www.hookahville.com

September 4 through September 8, Opposite Box and Chicago’s progressive funk rockers EGi team up for a highly anticipated co-headlining run through the Southeast as part of EGi’s extensive 2018 Fall tour.

September 29, Opposite Box headlines the Funktafest Afterparty at the V Club in Huntington, West Virginia.  Funktafest will take place during the day from 11:30 AM to 10:30 PM at the Ritter Park amphitheater, and will be headlined by After Funk, The MFB, Marbin AND MORE!
