On June 4, 1919, the 19th Amendment was proposed by Congress, which would give women the right to vote the following year. On June 4, 2016, we celebrated one of the largest victories in the history of women’s rights. Femstock is a benefit concert hosted at Baltimore’s favorite local venue, The 8×10. All proceeds benefited the Junior League of Baltimore, and the bill featured an all-star cast of local and regional women in music. The inaugural Femstock was sponsored by MillerCoors and hosted 60 concert goers.
The Mission: Femstock is not only a celebration of women in music, but a call to action; a demonstration of girl power that supports the development of the potential of women.
The Junior League of Baltimore, Inc. is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.
